My old 303 had peeps, couldn't afford even an old bushnel fixed 4x.
He will be good not being rutted up and all.

Actually that buck had swollen trials tgat were weeping pretty good, surprised the heck outta me!
Got him taken care of PDQ though, I think he will be fine.
The TSX tore him up pretty good with the quartering shot , so we had some washing to do

Jeepers how does " Tarsals " autocorrect to " trials" ?!
Went back inn this morning up and around to try and push something into the meadow for my son, broke out into the field, and the gut pile is already gone- lots of bears this year.

Last week Bushleague and I went moose hunting. It was my second time ever holding a moose tag and my first time getting a moose! Thanks to the knowledge Bushleague has of the area we were able to focus on some pretty moosey areas and capitalized on it just after breakfast on the 2nd day. We watched a cow from about 400 yards away, at the same time Bushleague mentioned maybe catching a glimpse of a 2nd moose. We worked to close the distance, when about 15 min later a nice bull materialized. I watched him for a bit before deciding I better make sure I don't eat tag soup again. The Nosler Etip made performed flawlessly. By the time we had the moose quartered and back in camp, we were soaked head to toe.

Here you can see our camp.

Here is a picture of my first moose and I.

The boat loaded up for the paddle out

Bushleague and I ready to head home.

The 168 gr Nosler Etip, recovered on the far side after taking on a bit of scapula. I'm not sure exactly what it weighed before the shot as it was a factory load but it weighed 167.4 on the scale afterward.
