Default Calgary area float tube trial spots

Hi folks, my son and I have been dabbling in fly fishing for a couple of years. Just got us set up with float tubes and looking for a trout fishing flat water spot to try them out any recommendations. Very excited and appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks.

Here's some links. You'll have to find if they are float tube friendly.

Hi, Thanks very much. will see what I can find. Thought about Sibbald Meadows Pond or even Dewitts just north of the city. I read somewhere that Dewitts can be weedy? Thanks for your help.

No. 1 hint, back into the water when you get in.

also I have received a warning from a Conservation officer for not having a life jacket in my float tube. Does not have to be worn just in the boat, yes apparently ocean and fishers considers float tubes a boat, this was 5 years ago at wedge pond.

If the PFD is inflatable, it is required you wear it at all times.

Default Thanks for the great feedback. went yesterday to Chain.

Hey folks, thanks so much for the input. Yes definitely bought inflatable PFDs for both of us. Went to Chain Lakes for a few hours in the afternoon yesterday just to get the feel for the tubes. Each of us caught a few 8 to 10 inch rainbows (we are solely C&R). Had a lot of fun. Was my sons first time landing a fish on his flyrod.
Will look into Winchell. We are thinking of trying Wedge Pond next time if anyone has any thoughts on that spot.
Heading to northern BC (Stikine Wilderness Area) for a week of float/Fly fishing early in July. Can't wait.
Thanks again to all of you.
