Well that didn't take them long, now did it?

I'm sure even Jean Chretien is reading this with awe.

If only there had been some people that had the foresight to see this coming. Someone that had experience with NDP governments that could have warned people who don't know not to touch the fence wire. If only.

Cue the apologists.

Ah yes. "Mistakes were made" and continue to be made.

Too bad they didn't have someone who was a social media expert. They could have avoided all this nasty press.

Oh wait! they do and Debbie didn't.

The dog probably ate her homework.

Is anyone keeping a list??. By the time the fire reaches the dynamite budget in 6 months., I'm going to be positively giddy.

Are the cold treats and kinder eggs for the public or the MLAs?

Apparently they want the public there because they are having a contest to see who can recognize their MLA....

How's that line from "Won't Get Fooled Again" go?

"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

Exactly. Those folks who voted NDP this time were fed up with the incompetent arrogance of the PC. They voted PC through Stelmach, Redford and Prentice and were surprised nothing changed. They seem to have crapped their pants again with the same thing from the NDP. Incompetent arrogance.

Holy Crap that's stupid. When I read the headline I thought maybe they were asking that attendees bring a donation to the food bank or something like that. How moronic.

Ya, looks bad.

I got an invite, but I contributed, and so didn't think it odd that they'd solicit from me again. Didn't know it went public.

I guess they'll be checking their links better, in the future.

You know I don't know everything about politics and can go as far as saying I don't know much. I do know however that in my opinion it will be interesting to see what this new government does. It sure does suck listening to all you PC lovers whine about how bad the NDP are and will be. You all have your opinion as do I but what I don't understand is how some of you can be so ignorant towards the new government but can't acknowledge the crooks that have been in power for so long. Maybe I'm wrong but reading posts on AO lately sure reads like a bunch of whiners.

You are right. You don't know much. Why would you assume those that bash the NDP the most were PC supporters? And welcome to the club.

I guess I could have said anyone who whines and not been party specific. To be clear I don't have on orange undies either I just can't understand how anyone can criticize so harshly without actually seeing what the current party will actually do.

Many of the people furious about the NDP win have lived under the NDP in another province. I also talked to several people who had similarly bad experiences with the NDP in Ontario, and BC. It was talking with these people and reading through the WRP constitution that changed my mind on voting for the NDP.

The link didn't work for me so I don't know what you guys are complaining about, but if it's misuse of funds, then what do you expect? There all crooks, but at least it's not the same old arrogant crooks.
There sure has been a lot of whining on the forum, and these new guys haven't even started governing. As far as I can see nothing has changed since the NDP has taken power, except the weather is nicer. So far they're doing great. Maybe we'll have a warm winter with no snow.

No, they just like to whine.

Facts don't back 'em up.

First they claim it was a mistake, but then we get Stokes's comment. Seriously Mr Stokes?

Brian Stokes, the party’s provincial secretary, told the Edmonton Journal’s Graham Thomson that he didn’t see a problem with using the event to raise money for the NDP.

So-They studied the fiscal records of the NDP for the past 3 decades in Alberta.
And they were the clear winner? Really

Remind me again when the last time was the NDP formed government in Alberta?

Facts don't back you up Mr Orangeyorangey koolaid guy

I hope that study was not the only reason you voted NDP in Alberta

You admit to helping fund them.
The only other thing that could make this any sweeter is if you reside in Calgary Bow!!! Please say that you do-then this all makes sense.

Oh, you hurt my feelings with your name-calling! You can go feel like a big man now, I guess.

Seriously, bud "Orangeyorangey koolaid guy"? That's pretty weak.

Ya, I voted for and support the NDP. They were the only viable option to the cesspool that is the PC's, and the WR have a proven track record of treasonous behaviour. Even their leader can be cast in that light. (how does your tiny brain parse that he supported Prentice then ran for leadership of a spinoff party?)

Did Brian Jean "change his mind" in the last year? Perhaps the party "changed its spots"? And that's ok with you, it seems.

But someone voted in democratically, for another party that you obviously hate, also claiming to have changed since last year, you don't cut the same slack.

How hypocritical do you appear? Riddle me that, Omega.
