Default Jarvis creek

Heading up to Gregg lake this weekend, and was hoping to fish Jarvis creek .
Any tips on fly selection to tie up before I go?
Did anyone fish it last year ?
Thanks in advance
Bob

Jarvis is definitely hit or miss. You can try near the mouth where it hits the Wildhay; the Polecat road crosses it close to the confluence. Upper reaches between the lakes, you have to find the right stretch. When I fished it last, all I saw were pike.

As the poster above me advises, if you're after trout, better to fish the surrounding streams. Plenty of fishing to be found off the Hay river road, the Jack Wright road, and the Willow creek haul road.

As for flies, I'd take Stimulators, Parachute Adams, Elk Hair Caddis, H&L Variants, Royal Wulffs, bead head Prince nymphs, Hare's ears. Or some big streamers if you want to chase bulls in the bigger water. The fish aren't really selective to pattern.
