Question .257 wby ammo...where can a guy get some?

I was in Edmonton today and stopped at both north and south WSS stores and neither had .257 wby ammo in 115 gr. The north store had no .257 ammo at all. Last week I stopped in at Barton's in GP and they only had 100 gr. I also tried a few other gun shops and no luck. I don't reload at the moment so that's not an option at this time.

Anyone know of where I can get my hands on some 115 gr. BT?

last time I was in Wolverine down in red deer they had several boxes of .257wby ammo. Not sure what grain it was in. Good luck!

Owning a Weatherby cartridge is a great reason to take up reloading as a hobby!

If you take out a second mortgage and wait until the new Cabelas store opens I'm almost sure you could buy 3 or 4 boxes from them.

My son owns one and I'm sure he feels your pain.

Weatherby just had a promo on 257 and 300 factory ammo. I can't remember what grain the bullet weights were but the price was around $45 bucks a box, more or less brass price!

The promo ammo I saw was in Flies Etc in High River a week ago. I didn't need any Wby ammo so I didn't pay a lot of attention to it but the guy in front of me bought all the 300 ammo, which was only two boxes.
There was 257 ammo at that time but I can't say if there's any left now or if they can get more. Give them a call.

Poacher's Corner in Glendon has the 100 grain stuff for 45$/box. The barnes for 88/box and it goes up from there. But they will give you a deal when you buy more than one.

45 is a super price for factory fodder...i paid 40 for brass alone, and with the great wby brass shortage of 2009...so I bought 14 boxes.
