Jamie, Im not sure where in North America you hunt Pronger's, but a 16 inch is a tough one to hit, very few do it, and as far as 17 inch goes,,,, well, open up any records keeping book and tell me how many antelope hit 17 inch. It is practically impossible, they almost dont exist. And remember while your scanning the pages of B&C, that those are the biggest antelope on the continent. The vast majority harvested every year dont cut those kind of numbers. If you want a wall hanger, start judging before your hunt and look almost primarily at mass and cutters. Length is going to be a tough one for you to judge down there if your used to looking at our goats, their antelope are just abit smaller( if what ive been told is correct). It will be very difficult to judge if comparing our ear lengths to theirs. Look at enough critters and you will have the hang of it down there though I think.

Yah I know Over 16 is a DREAM!!!, But I honestly think 16" can and will be possible. You cant shoot a BIG one when you tag out on a little one.

Really looking forward to this hunt.
From all reports he is a heck of a guide.

Think mass if you want a bruiser. One that looks like it has stove pipes coming out of its head.

Good for you Mike - that's a beautiful antelope. It's great to hear a story about a do-it-yourself hunter getting a terrific trophy like that!

Good Lord, world class mass above the cutter. That right there will separate the men from the boys every time.

Makes a guy wonder how he could hide for a Month all through rutting season.lol
My guess is he lived at a waterhole more than 200 yards from a road.
