Default Furnace humidifiers replacement

I Have a lennox W8-100 drum humidifier on my furnace. The house is 1800 square feet 2 story . Is there a better unit I can buy to replace this.
I have a major problem remembering to clean and replace the drum filters and then it all crusts over and I have a huge mess on my hands.
So what can I do to? Is there a great system out there?

Thanks

General 1042, case closed. They now offer a smart humidistat too that will help them use less water by cycling the valve. I prefer bypass type humidifiers as they don't have a drum and the corresponding pan full of slimy primordial ooze that's getting aerated into your homes atmosphere.

With two furnaces do you need 2? How much are they installed?

I checked the furnace room the other day, found a sloppy mess. House is just over a year old. The builder installed the wrong filter when they were here for the one year warranty inspection, made a mess. I think I caught it early enough, put a couple fans and it was dry by morning. I’m done with furnace humidifiers...
