If the quality of the pup as a hunter is of interest to you, take a look at the trial and "dog of the year" results over the years for the Calgary Pointing Dog Club. See where a lot of the top placing dogs come from.
Also, don't get a Britt unless you are willing to walk him or her a lot, preferably off leash. These dogs have a lot of energy. A half an hour a day on leash down the street won't cut it. Mine gets a short walk, maybe 15 minutes before work, and then a solid hour after work, most of it off leash, in all weather. He wants to go in 30 below, and he's nearly 12 years old. They aren't lazy dogs. You shouldn't be either.
