This is a good thread, I'll keep it going.

Started out the year with a moose in archery season

After unsuccessfully chasing the elk during the archery season I was able to tag one during rifle season.

But the most exciting day was when my son got his buck.

With freezers full, and about 200lbs of burger, we've made about 80 rings of smoked sausage and about 30lbs of jerky so far, and still tons of burger and cuts left in the freezer, we're set till next season!

Other than excessive waterfowl hunting, I didnt have any draws so all my time went into my whitetail tag and it was worth it!

Button buck in the SE corner of 118. About 90m with Igman 7.62x54R 150gr SPs in my Finn M39.

I still have not seen the CWD results on the head, even though my partners got theirs weeks ago, so the meat's still waiting in the freezer.

2014 whitetail and a couple wolves I called in this year. Had 8 come in, shot 3. Found 2 but tracked the 3rd one for the day and couldn't find him. Had them come in to 50 yards.

Yeow that's a bull! Let's see that 330! What part of the province are those sheds from?

Mule buck in southern alberta, grossed 179
[IMG][/IMG]
meat moose
[IMG][/IMG]
and lots of upland birds
[IMG][/IMG]

ended up with lots of meat from all these other critters which allowed me to be picky on my whitetail, didn't see anything that made me want to pull the trigger so went empty handed

Thanks, and she has really turned into quite a fine bird dog, the moose was on a priority five, I came close in archery season but couldn't make it happen, after that i decided I was gonna get some meat and shot this bull on the rifle opener
