Default Benelli Vinci

Howdy,
book says I can't use the full choke for steel shot.

I've only used the modified for waterfowl as it is steel compatible but was wanting to try the full.

Any idea's why that would be and what would happen if I used it?

Thanks.

The full choke will likely throw worse patterns and it can damage the gun as it creates pressure around the choke. You could get the choke stuck and a pressure ring in the barrel.

Is this true as well for the aftermarket "long range" chokes marketed for goose hunting, or just the factory chokes?

It depends if they are rated full for steel, or full for lead.
