Any idea on score and age of this buck
Was wondering what your thoughts are on score and age of this buck. Mostly interested in age, but I do understand that it is just a guess game.
And I think this is him as well, but not entirely sure.

4-5 year old. Dome muzzle and a little sag in the midsection starting.
Solid high 150 class whitetail.
Now go get him!

I’d expect him to break 160. He has a lot of inches that he hides.
4-6 yrs old but that’s always a guessing game.

From what I can see he's a 5x6. Typical score about 140-145 all said and done.

I think his score might surprise you. He would be in the high 160's. Another year or 2 …… Best of luck!

I too think he's hiding points and think you'd be advised to take him as he'll be headed downhill if you don't

Thank you for opinions, guys!
The reason I asked is because I will not be able to get out more than twice this season or what's left of it. I do not have this buck clocked and he proved to be unpredictable. Those are the only day pics I have of him and I was actually quite surprised to see him in daylight. Has to be the rut, I guess. He only moves in the darkness otherwise and I have no clue where he is at daytime. I haven't been able to locate his bed or where he feeds. Not too many rubs or scrapes around either. It's bush hunting too, so makes it a little more difficult.
So yes, this is why age is more important I hope he will grow next year, unless by some miracle I connect with him in the limited time I will be out in the next 10 days.
In my opinion he will measure at net 150 quite easily, but I am no expert in this department. I am not a fan of that sag either. Could become something beautiful next year though if he isn't at his peak right now.

When you get the chance to get in in him stick to the doe's or there area...bring a grunt tube, light rattling might entice him to check out who the heck is in his bedroom...a hot doe can get him up and out in the daylight or the quest for love.
Hope you tag this beauty.

This deer could be wearing his best set of antlers right, he looks like he has some age in him, in my opinion he is mid 160's, good looking deer.

I agree, this deer is a gray faced old buck, He's no record but that's probably his best.

I have now looked at this thread and at the photos a few times. It is a great deer and he would be the target of my whitetail season no questions asked.
I wouldn't be surprised if he tops 170 (gross). He is definitely over 160, no doubt in my mind and I would bet some money on it.
As for the age, I have no clue. He does look more than 5 to me. He does appear to be at his peak. But like I said, I have no clue. If others are right and he is 4.5-5.5 and you don't tag him this year... I do not really know how to continue the sentence, lol.
Good luck! All you can do is try and see what happens. Hope the next photos of him we see are taken by you in person.

2x... look at the target buck down thread. That buck scores 157, and this buck isn't bigger than that deer.

The only measurement the target buck has on this one is width. This one has more, longer points and more mass.

x2 and actually looking at it again its not like this buck is narrow. It's almost as wide as the target buck. I would bet mid to high 160's for sure
