Gave it back to the owners. Most of its just 'on loan' from people who don't have room for it.

Walked out with a cooler and some nice sorel slippers the other day, still waiting for one real nice cooler to go on sale and for the binos to drop more in price.

bought some ammo 25% off and ice auger blades 40% off saved a bit of coin. Gun rack is getting low thought there might be a browning over under still for sale.

They still had a 6# Butter Stick in the Lethbridge store on Friday. I had my eye on a 3#, but waited too long to pull the trigger. Overall, no 3's left down here; a couple of 4-6's, maybe a few in heavier weights, and a few 2-handers. Getting pretty slim.

I was there last weekend, all they had was 7mm and 300wsm for rifle ammo. A few boxes of assorted .22, pistol rounds but lots of shotgun ammo. The store had been picked over pretty good but I did manage to get a marcum camera for steal of a deal. It was marked down 30% already but they took an additional 30% off that at the till because there was an extra sticker on the box.

Highly doubt they've had that kind of rifle in the last couple years. They usually stock the common calibers .308, 7-08, 300wm, etc

They actually did have one 6.5x55 in the north store a few weeks ago. It's gone now.

They have the 3 burner Camp Chef Explorer campstove marked “down” to $209 whereas the regular price at Cabelas is $199.99. Either someone has used the Camp Chef 3 burner Pro as the regular price in error or that is, well not sure what that is.

They did have a few Eskimo 9416 ice fishing tents on for $450ish which is not a bad price.

I went by last night. Most of the stuff was 30% off and not much of a deal. Some better discounts on reloading (40% I think)

I don't shoot the Swiss ammo was price seemed good to me

I did notice that the rifles are actually a decent deal.

I did not handle anything as there was several people waiting and only two guys working the counter form what I could tell. As such, I was trying to read the prices from a distance

I never found WSS to be expensive for large ticket items (but they sure charged a lot for incidentals). I will miss them. That being said... I was at a location in BC last night just to kill some time. They had the Tikka T3X stainless hunter package (wood and stainless with the Burris scope) for $1100 out the door. Seeing as how the basic blued hunter goes for over 1100 alone and the scope is just under $300 I couldn't resist. But I did find it odd. There was huge gaps on the gun wall, but they had a decent selection of calibers in the back.

For those curious, I went with the cool to hate hated 30-06 for a couple of reasons. 1) I don't currently have a 30-06 but have 5 boxes of Remington 30-06 200 grain A-frames (a gift from someone leaving the sport) and 2) all my other rifles are blind mag, floor plate or tube. This fills the void of detachable mag.

Was up in GP, saw they still had some 700's in .308 left, thought about snagging one to find my PAL is still at home.

Today a buddy bought 2 rifles and about 2000 rounds of .223 at 30% off, a thousand of them for me. No one else is even close on the price of .223.

Can you let me know where you shop for your rifles?

I had been shopping for a rifle for about 6 months and all of the ones I was considering were about 300 cheaper then bass pro or cabelas, when I made my purchase last week.

I stopped in the Calgary store yesterday for ammo. It looked like quite a few firearms left on the rack but a big crowd so I didn't get too close to see what they were. As for ammo, the shelves were getting depleted. I didn't see any 30-06, 308, 30-30. Only one type of 300WM and a few 243. Quite a bit of 223, lots of 22LR and shotgun shell. I picked up a few boxes of 12 gauge and I think the last box of 303 Brit not that I needed any of it. Good thing that I didn't have a basket or cart or I would have got more.
Clothing racks still had stuff on them.

There was still a couple of boxes of .308 win in Hornady Superformance, there some hidden .30-06 in the Remington green & yellow boxes (not sure if it was core-lokt) was on a lower shelf in the centre shotgun ammo aisle across the aisle from the rifle ammo. There was also some .303 Brit next to the .30-06 hidden down low but I also did not see any .30-30 at all. I snagged some Speer gold dot component bullets in 10mm and .45. There seemed to be a fair amount in the Winchester silver box in .270 both Win & WSM, .300 Win Mag & WSM, and .243 Win as well, most of those I looked at were Accupoint.

The clothing shelves still looked full because if the cruddy merchandise brought in by the liquidator that WSS never carried, though there was still about 50-60% of stuff they’d carry among the random filler merch.

9mm was gone a few weeks ago, bulk first. I've been up to Edmonton lately so I was through those stores too.
