Thanks for all of your recommendations. The 1022 is such a popular choice for so many people, but I too always choose the bolt action and enjoy it more. Ill give it some more pondering, but the safequeen 1022 may be going away...

10/22. I have a fancy target rifle, laminated stock and heavy barrel. Very accurate and rarely jams. Hard to miss grouse/gophers/rabbits when the first shot is followed up by whatever is necessary...

I've always found if I miss them with the first nine, the tenth shot doesn't help me much either.

I love my 597 VTRs...but I love my Savage MKii's. If I had to go down to one, I would have to go to a MKii (ultimate accuracy), but I could never actually go down to one 22.

You can drop a TX1 into any stock the T3 fits into, that includes the Hunter

Default .22 choices

My Winchester 52 is the most accurate gun I own, but the bulk of my time is spent with the Browning T-Bolt. Accurate, fast, 10 round flush mounting mags, and no jam-ups like the semi's are prone to.

Although I was leaning more towards a wildcat custom, how sweet would that be

Or I could buy a CZ or Anschutz that already have a wood stock

After looking at it, it does appear to be a nice gun. If it came in a nice wood stock, it would be behind the Anschutz but ahead of the CZ.

The nice thing about the T1x is it’s the exact same platform as the T3x, would make for excellent year round practice for those who own a T3x. The fact that you can drop it into any stock offered for a t3 is the selling point for me, McMillan, Wildcat, Bell and Carlson, Boyd’s, etc. Well that and the fact they are absolute tack drivers.

This is what I have done. T1X, T3 synthetic SS .223, T3X synthetic SS 6.5x55. The .223 & 6.5 both set up with the same scope. All three same trigger weight . Neat to able to grab anyone of them and they all feel the same. I’ve had CZ’s in each caliber wasn’t able to get them to shoot as tight. Take that with a grain of salt though as I’m far from being as good a shot a some.

I only have one .22, but of all the guns I have shot or shouldered, my 452 Lux with irons just fits like a glove.

Not that I haven't enjoyed shooting my buddies 10/22 and the Tikka looks pretty sweet.

X2 on the t bolt, have one in 22lr and 22 mag and they shoot well.

I did eye ball the new tikka, but I would have to try it before selling my T bolts.

The only reason I own an autoloading 22 is because it was the replica STG44, and owning one of those would probably irritate the gov't who had just announced C71. Other than that I'll take a bolt action. Spent enough time futzing with autoloaders and levers that I've had enough of them. Have a T-bolt now, not as accurate as the Valmet biathlon gun was, but I didn't want the spend the loot on a 22, for one with the Fortner action, which was the first choice, til I saw the price.

Bolt all the way, got rid of my semi auto years ago. Very happy with the Remington 511 Scoremaster I acquired this year, so accurate with pretty much every ammunition I've tried in it that it gets borderline boring. Works very well as an understudy rifle for the Husqvarna rifles I use for most of my hunting. One day it will likely be the only .22 I own.

I would keep the savage mkll. If bolt or semi were the only option. But if I had to go down to one 22 it would be my marlin 39 golden A.

CZ 452 bolt....455 would work as well...As for the Tikka being the new CZ? IF the .22 shoots as well as their .17 It would be a very nice rifle..no CZ but a very nice rifle.
