Default Tikka whitetail hunter trigger guard screw

Here's a question for all of you Tikka Owners... What is the size of screw used in the trigger guard and forward stock? Somewhere, at some time my trigger guard screw ( holds the stock to the barrel ) came out. I got in touch with Stoeger Canada and they tell me it's $44. To me, that seems pretty steep for a screw. Does anyone happen to know if it's a specialty ( made for that rifle only screw ) or if it's just an average metric screw? Im assuming it's metric if made in Finland. If any one can help out, would be greatly appreciated.

Get upgraded screws to stainless steel and hex. But they’ll cost you a little more than the $44, $60 actually, but you’ll also get an upgraded recoil lug. Sucks, but it is what it is.

You can also get them from mountain tactical in Montana for $24US plus shipping, but then again I bet you’ll be over the $44.

I went through this, and just bought through coretac. At least yours was just lost, mine we’re stripped and that was an extra cost to get them out.

I have a set of action screws I can spare if you will cover shipping. I was placing an order to MT and added them on a while back. If you are interested shoot me a PM
