Default Flash hole debur tool borrow.

Anyone have a flash hole debur tool I can borrow? I have a Lyman universal one but it at my brother's and won't be there anytime soon. I'm located in st Albert. Have 150 pieces of 280ai brass I need to run through. It'll take me 30-40 mins and I'll be done with her. Greatly appreciated if you can help me out.

I've done some testing with my previous 280ai, my current custom 243 and my 6.5x47 and although it wasn't radical there was a difference. To each there own. I guess some people have a way of knowing how every firearm and every combination of ammunition reacts. The Good old Wizards of AO. It could be a waste of time, but if you're already 3/4" of the way down the rabbit hole reloading for the best accuracy. Where do you draw the line? I have lots of time and I enjoy working on my ammunition, time we'll spent I say. Better than sitting infront of the computer waiting to pounce on random threads, just to leave zero helpful information, once again.

I found someone willing to help out. Thanks alot Dan.

I’m helping. It’s a waste of time and effort. Period. Consistent trim length, and neck tension will give more benefit than flash hole de burring ever will. I have tested that theory and I’m not the only one.
What dies are you using?
Do you anneal?
Brass?

“Saw a multi part youtube vid with Jack Neary and he was asked about flash hole reaming. He shared that they took T.Boyers rail gun in a tunnel and did a bunch of testing with Lapua brass & 6PPC and found that their groups opened up after screwing with the flash holes.....But that was done with only Lapua brass and the formed 6PPC round........”.

My sentiment

Why in the world would you remove material from the case head? If brass is that bad, use better brass.

Uniform holes and no holes makes sense to me.trim length and neck tension play a bigger role, I don't doubt that one bit. To me it just seems like putting together a puzzle but missing the picture off the last piece. If it helps at all, why now do it? It takes 5 seconds, once in the life time of the brass, with a $15-20 tool.

The OP is asking about the debur tool, not a “reamer”. I use the debur tool to remove any burrs hanging on the inside of the flash hole.
