Same, once in a while. Thunder Shot seems to have a bit bigger bang.

Couple times a year as a novelty for the nieces & nephews. Pre-place the tannerite behind a target on cardboard, gives the kids a shot of adrenaline when it blows.

I use it responsibly and it sure beats shooting at paper. The ultimate target to me

Some jerks caused a large grass fire in the porcupine hills from shooting tannerite. Claresholm fire dept had to come put it out. Luckily it didn't spread into the forest. These guys took off after the fire and avoided getting the firefighting bill. Please be carefull when playing with this stuff CHILDREN! It's not a toy. If anyone knows who caused the fire last Oct they can PM me and I will send them the bill thanx

Hmm, I wonder if they used some sort of combustibles with it. Always just a big puff of yellow smoke when I use it. I'm sure it's possible to start a fire I suppose.

They would have had to be shooting something other than tannerite to cause a fire.

tannerite becomes water vapour and leftover chemical as a cloud after it's shot, consuming all the oxygen in the jar and surrounding area. There is no chance of a fire being caused by tannerite alone.

Ricochets, smoking, other explosives, propane tanks, etc will cause a grass fire.

I've seen this happen, it wasn't tannerite, but some sort of sticker that goes bang and shoots blazing fragments everywhere. Started a grass fire that we put out. I would not buy this stuff... too sketchy

I'm not familiar with whatever that stuff is but some dummy set the the 100 yard backboards at our range on fire with that stuff.

Possibly something similar to this product.

I've never bought them, too expensive. I've used Sure Shot which I believe is similar to Tannerite as it goes bang and there is a puff of white smoke.

For those of you that think that tannerite won't start a fire I disagree. You should film it going off then watch the footage in slow motion or frame to frame.

Never had any desire to shoot Tannerite. Looks like a lot of fun, but I have had enough explosive fun as a teen with Drano to last me a lifetime.

Yes tannerite can start a fire, the rim fire is certainly worst than the original by far.

Bought some to try, kids like it and blow up pumpkins after Halloween

I heard if ya put a plastic water bottle with some gas on top of it get more of a show, gonna try that next before the snows gone.

Those firebird targets are a waste of money, might be neat attached to a clay for a couple though.
