Default Gull

First time fishing Gull tomorrow. Thinking of the Sandy Beach area and no specific target species in mind. How had the ice been out there and any tips?

Ice is good. Maggots for perch. Smelts for pike

Hopefully! Thanks for the tip. We're there lots of vehicles on the ice?

Yes, can drive anywhere. Do recommend 4X4 as there is a crusty layer under the new snow that could cause problems with a two wheel drive. At least that was the case on the east side today.

We were out yesterday at Brownlows. I think 7 pike and 1 walleye. Lots of small pike. All pike on tip up and walleye on jig and maggot.

Landed one perch, but we saw quite a few on the camera. Had one pike on a tip up that got off and a few other bites, but they wouldn't commit to the bait. Didn't see a single Walleye, Whitefish or Burbot.

Was out there on Saturday at Brownlows from 9-3. Dozens of 4-5" perch and one keeper. Didn't see any walleye or jacks all day. Fished in 14 FOW.

The 7 year old daughter was entertained. Hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows on my buddy heater was a big hit. Oh... and she had her iPad so she didn't bug me to go home when she wanted to 'take a break' at 1:30 that lasted until 3:00PM.
