Default Ordering from US Cabelas

Anyone know how to order from the US store? Went through checkout and it wont ship to my address (probably because in Canada). Even with the exchange/duties and shipping the US site is half the price of the Canadian site.. How are we getting shafted so bad?

You can still order from Cabelas US, just not that item. I suspect it is because it has a sight reticle in it, a type of sight?

Good choice on that bad boy. I own one myself and you will not be disappointed. Probably because they have a "laser" you cant order it, but you can buy it here. Same logic as we cant have little fire crackers but roman candles and high powered fireworks are fine.

Damn, what about crossing the border with one? If I went down to the US and brought it back?

You would have to do some paperwork in customs and before hand. I wanted to bring back a sight I got gifted and decided to just leave it as it was too much of a hassle. Anything close to firearms is "restricted".

Be warned if you buy "textiles" (clothing) they can slam you with additional customs fees and bill it to you when the pkg arrives. Up to the original price of the item!

If it is all classified as sporting goods, the duties are far less. In my experience cross border shopping has been a crap shoot, no rhyme or reason except how the customs officers were feeling that day.
