I have left a crow in a field and come back weeks later to see it untouched , even the coyotes won't eat them

I don't think they are edible, maggots won't eat them so I take that as a hint.

Now had you asked about Spotted Owl, I know a bit about trying to eat one of them.

Default Crows

In England when the crows fledge and they can be caught by hand they're exposed for meat pies. Supposed to be a great delicacy.

Default Crow for supper

In retrospect, it was a stupid question as most things that swim, fly and walk are edible. Being that crows are gaining a reputation as a very smart bird are there any particular challenges to hunting them. Have any of you seasoned hunters had a crow outsmart you?.
Thanks
C.C.
