Buying a non restricted from QC

I have a quick question for someone, it should be easy.
I bought a rifle from a gentleman in QC, he did the transfer on his end and emailed me the confirmation. All good there. Now seeing that we do not have a registration ( lol officially). Do I still need to call the cfo. If so it would be to complete the transfer basically telling them that this guy no longer has the rifle, correct?
This is my first QC purchase.

NOPE! I got one from PQ a while back, and did not contact or have to contact anybody except the seller.
