Default bow sight

I am in the market for a new bowsight and was just wondering what everyone would recommend. I will be using this bow for both spot and stalk and tree stand hunting. Thanks

Wrapped Spot Hogg- "Hogg it Hunter", for strength, durability and precise adjustability. Check out the new Octane, as well as Montana Black Gold's "Red Zone", two other great sights.

I use the Copper John Deadnuts 2, 6 pin Supreme.

http://www.bowparts.com/cop28625.html

For me it has it all, extra long optic fibres that are very well protected, fantastic adjustment, super strong all metal construction.

A very good sght IMHO.

But as always, it pays to workout what YOU really want in a sight (or anything else for that matter) and research all that you can, but as I said, these are a very good sight.

Cheers Noel

Smile Brightest Pins

For Pin brightness, I haven't seen one that can beat a TruGlo Sight. Have a look at them.

I would have a look at G-5's sight lineup, they seem to be a very solid, well made unit...

Default Sight

I would suggest the Sword Accu-site. You can get these sights with a nine inch bar...Awesome and they are fairly inexpensive. Paid just over $100 bucks last year!

I just got a 5pin Tru-glo with a light on it, I think it is the best value around at $55. Works great, the others mentioned are excellent as well, but with diminishing returns with the higher prices.

i too plan on spot and stalking and tree stand hunting. i found other fibre optic sights to be almost too bright in the midday sun. i went with the black gold becasue of the UV sensitive plastic. it turns purple in bright light and keeps your pins bright...but not too bright

I have to buy new sights every year. It doesnt matter how careful I am I always manage to break the fibre optics coming into the pins. I hunt elk for a month straight every fall and dont like having to screw with changing sights. It seems like a lot of companies make their sights non repairable so you have to buy new ones and at $250 that sucks. G5 is what I have this year and you can get extra pins and fibre and fix them in no time.

X2 on the "spot hogg". Fairly pricey but pretty much at the top of the heap.

spott hoggs "Hogg it" are sweet sights . I use them both for 3-d and hunting . They come in a wide range from 10 thou pins to 29 thou pins .. Also have a 9 inch bar for adjusting and also have a 7 pin sight .. however they are in the 200 plus range and the 7 pin sight is 300 bucks.. good luck shopping , it always fun buying new gear..
