Default Ruger

I have the same Rifle Curteck, but in 300 win/mag.
It could stand to lose a little weight.
It's been a good all round rifle, but if your going to be doing lots of walking I would look for something lighter.

gramps,

I have a LH SS Lam. 30-06 and a LH SS Lam. 375 Ruger on the way.

The 30-06 is a great shooter and not all that heavy. The barrel contour is quite light. The rifle does have a synthetic stock on it now, that helped with the weight a little.

I used to have a wood blue M77 in 25-06 that was also a good shooter..... never should have sold it. It was not light though, with it's magnum contour barrel.

I found a M77 MKII in a 25-06 laminate stock in Edmonton.
Weight is not an issue for we, have you have any problems with the shooting of them out of the box.

No issues with accuracy or reliability out of the box.

Depending on the rifle you may wish to have the trigger tuned or replaced. Some are worse than others, in my experience. I bed all my rifles as well, easy job.

I'd like one of those SS Lam 25-06 in LH to replace my old one...... someday.
