Default “The Bug”

Anyone else getting “the bug”?

I wasn’t too interested in going bowhunting this year, just heading out in Nov for rifle WT and the GF has mule doe.

But now that the season is upon us, I can’t stop thinking about getting out there. I’m getting my bow ready and tuned and sighted and I’m excited just to get out and maybe see if I can arrow a bull elk or WT buck.

I also want to give pheasant hunting a go this year with my pup. Haven’t done much formal training but he has a great nose and drive.

I’ve been looking at wall tents and such and maybe next year I’ll accumulate some gear and get out there for a week.

I've noticed that it's really starting to feel like fall in the mornings, so it's starting to get my interest in preparing going too.

Doing a fly in moose hunt for the second year. We don't leave until Sept 21. After the adventure of last year, since about August 1st I have packed and unpacked, researched and bought a bunch of new gear, watched a million youtube videos, checked google maps 300 times, memorized the layout of where I want to focus my efforts this year after last years experience, and basically lived and breathed moose hunting in the north for almost a whole month now. I think I know what a meth addict goes through in search of the 'high'. Yeah, I have the bug..
