Bow specs for 2015?

What kind of bow specs would you like to see from the manufactures in 2015? I would like to see something about 32-34" ATA, 7" brace height, under 4 lbs, 330 + fps and a smooth draw cycle. Right now the only one I can see that matches my list is the APA M7 but I haven't had a chance to shoot one to see what the draw cycle is like. What would you guys like to see?

It's close just a little heavy(4.2 lbs). I am sure it's a nice shooting bow. But I might as well be picky if it's a wish list. Maybe we will see a carbon experience next year?

My 2010 strother infinity has all of that covered I think. The weight might be a hair over 4lbs but not much if it is.

Any thoughts on the prime lineup??? I like the shift, but the impact is a bit longer and about 340fps...????

I like your idea on specs. That's why I own a APA Mamba M7. The Faktor 34 is a sweet bow very close to your specs and draws very nice with the Z5 cam.

Apa are great bows, I've had mine for almost 1 years now and it's been great.

Have you looked.at the new apa mamba air 28 1/2 inch ata 7 3/8 brace height 3.4 lbs up.to 338fps extremly nice draw cycle
Might be a little different than what you are looking for but they are a pleasure to shoot

I think my next bow will be a longer ATA. I love my helim I just think it would be a little nicer with a longer ATA length. I would like to shoot the M34 or M7.

Last year I would have agreed 100% with you, one of the bows that would make my most favorite top five was the Mathews Reezen 7.0 @ 32"ATA ...shot my first triple hood with it and she was a killer...If Mathews would have adapted the RA [Reverse Assist] Cable Guard and a draw stop...I would still be shooting it...

I also Picked the HeliM...it had the above additions ...like a scaled down Reezen on steroids...

Wasnt a fan of draw stops till the HeliM...love the wall but hate what happen when they fail or bow is accidentally dryfired...

My point is I was NOT a fan of short ATA bows...32" was my most comfortable ATA with my top accuracy...the HeliM at 30" ATA was the shortest bow in my top five...

But things change ...you dont need 32" Ata bows for accuracy and forgiveness...

At the top of the Top five list now is the APA Viper AIR...Actual IBO in that 325 range..generous Brace Height =7 3/8 ..Ultra light at 3.4LB ..
But the amazing thing is she is only 27.5 ATA...
And she is mayhem on arrows if grouping..over a dozen hoods since I got her in the new year..
Now if someone told me even three years ago I would be shooting a 27.5" ATA bow I would have laughed at them ...

You just described the Hoyt carbon spyder line accept you left out "silky" smooth draw, vibe free and warm to touch even on those cold November rut hunts, also it's 30", 33" and 34" A-A's.

Do you really believe that 0.2lbs is going to make a big difference?
What accessories are you going to load it with?
To some of us lighter is not better.
A proper weight balance for one's self is.

This was supposed to be a thread about what every one else wants to see. Kind of a wish list. No I don't think .2 lbs makes much of a difference. But that's what I would ask for from the manufactures. What would you like to see?(kind of the point of the thread).

I'd like to see a bowtech experience with a carbon riser. I use to turn my nose up to bowtechs but after my Mathews bows and Hoyt I'm really digging how bowtechs shoot. I'll be looking forward to their ata release in the new year! Oh yeah and jimbows in edmonton having their full line!

Isn't interaction part of your thread?

I'm quite happy with my Bowtech Experience for the next several years.
I'm not one to chase the latest n greatest techs each year.
2014 was a great tech year for most bows and it will be awhile before some major change really makes a big impact to the archery industry.

To be Pope and Young legal the bow must be 30" measured on the bow's cams (bottom cam to top cam). It used to be ATA but they moved somewhat when Mathews and PSE started the short ATA craze a few years back.

To all the people saying oh well this bow almost meets your requirements or does .2 lbs really make a difference. No it probably doesnt, but then again having a bow shoot 10 fps slower or faster isn't that much difference either,

Its funny how marketing can affect some people, when I buy a new bow I have certain parameters that my bow has to meet for me to consider even buying a new one.

My last bow needed to be 34'' to 35'' ata shoot a decent speed, good warranty and be smoother, quieter, and more comfortable to shoot then my old bow, I found all those parameters in my bow and now I have a bow I love.

Hes being a smart shopper by not compromising his ideas for a new bow. Props to the OP!!..

The bow I would like to see released to even consider buying a new one must be 34-35'' ata, shoot 345-355 fps, under 3.8 lbs, 6.5-7 inch brace, comfortable grip, Parallel limbs, smooth draw, solid wall, and a decent valley, it must feel good to shoot and not lie about there speed hahaha

Speed comes at a cost...and that cost is in the brace height or shoot-ability (most times). The Carbon Overdrive (exceeding IBO speeds, by all accounts)....is the closest thing you will find in a long time IMHO...

Not that it matters to me...that Pope N young book would taste like crap on the BBQ...lol
So I dont pay much attention to P&Y standards...P&Y needs to update some of their silly rules and grow with modern technology...

And if in my dreams I shot a world record whitetail...Im sure not many are going to care how long my bow is/was...lol
