Default Some good news for a change. Study grant for our foothill streams

I'm thinking this might be some good news for our eastern slope's stream waters and fisheries that are being threatened. While this is only in studies it will still is something positive and hopefully beneficial.

Alberta Environment will get a 5.6 million grant for these studies. Federal Gov't, First Nations and "other" partners involved. Not sure I trust the provincial government to oversee the grant money. Maybe the federal studies will put any or all provincial coal mining expansions on hold too.

Thanks for posting.

I will be cautiously optimistic on how they allocate their funds and how they manage this but I am excited to here work is getting done to protect our waters.
