Crossbow
I personally have a Ravin R10 crossbow. I really like it so far and this is my first year hunting with it. I too have had to go to a crossbow due to medical issues, with my wrist and hand.

Following. I've tore my rotator cuff and can no longer draw a bow.

Excalibur. Why, because warranty is above all. Since they are a recurve, they are easy to tune yourself unlike the compound versions that will need a trip to the shop.

I have a Ravin R15. First crossbow I have ever owned. These Ravins are a good alternative for people who have shoulder problems and can not pull a conventional crossbow back. They have a hand crank that you can also "let down" with too. Nice option to have so you can unload a cocked bow. They also have special nocks that act as a second safety.

You cannot beat Excalibur warranty. I know, I screwed up my Bulldog 400 the second time I cranked it to cock it, and even though it was obvious that I was at fault, Excalibur sent me a complete new Anti-Dry-Fire rail assembly (and an upgraded component at that!), at no cost to me.
