Default Deer hunting in the farmers fields

I was wanting to get some ideas on how to get within bow range of deer in the open fields. Last year I got within 100 yards more than once of great mule deer but could not close the distance without them running off. Any suggestions ? Has anyone ever tried the decoy method?

Default closing distance

Use natural depressions and anything to break the visual senses, once you think your moving slow enough...slow down more...if you have a particular field in mind take whatever is growing in that field..throw a few fistfulls of the crop stalks in garbage bag mix in all your hunting gear...dont suit up until your there..

Find where they bed and bushwhack them before they get to the open fields...

Good ideas. This gives me some more options. I saw this on a hunting show where two guys hide behind a decoy and walked up to the deer until they were in bow range. Realistic.
