Default Peep Sights with Apperture Cross Hair

I have a set of Skinner Peeps on my Marlin 336 and as my eyes get older, I am finding it increasingly difficult to align the aperture to the front sight. I was thinking of making a 'cross hair' for the front aperture but not sure how and hoping that someone might have an idea on how to do this?

Thx for any help.

Can also talk to Range Sports Unlimited in Kamloops, no website, 250-372-7030. I have acquired various front & rear sights and inserts from him at the Easter Gun Show here over the years.

Lee Shaver makes an insert selection that fit the Lyman 17A globe and there are several cross hair styles in their line up. They can be found on Brownells web site. David.

Not sure what you mean by aligning the aperture to the front sight. When using aperture sights your eye automatically centers on the aperture and parallax is eliminated making it necessary to only place the top of the front sight on target. If possible replace the aperture with a larger one that will gather more light and make it easier to see the front sight with old eyes.
