Does the tubular mag's follower do a clean job of lifting cartridges under the extractor claws, or do you have to wiggle the bolt back and forth to lift a cartridge in place before chambering?

It does a clean job. Only issue is the action needs bedding into the stock better. I believe it is a simple matter of adjusting the bolt but I would rather someone with experience adjust.

I had a lot of fun plinking & shooting groundhogs with mine -hundreds of them- till the lifter mechanism wore out. Now jiggling the bolt is the workaround, but it is mostly retired now.

Never bedded it as I didn't know better. Every now and then I take it out for nostalgia's sake and it groups fine at 50m. For the money, Cooey sure made a great shooting utilitarian rifle.

For your rifle I'd guess anywhere between $60 and $100 max if in really good shape and a proven shooter.

If it has the rabbit on the stock I'd figure $150-175

Not disputing, but why is the rabbit 600 worth so much?

Maybe if it was in good condition, but he said average. I would suggest $100-125

I think your asking price is fair.
