Dualling Tree finally arrived from Texas

Finally it arrived. Put all together today.
AR 500 paddles and front armor plating is also AR 500.

Paddles are six inch and 3/8 thick. They swivel in independent cylinders.

Two shooters stand side by side. First one to get all paddles cleaned out to the other side wins.

Has two settings for lean or no lean.

Now can't wait for a dual at the range on Sunday.

Could not find anything decent in Canada which is strange.

Looks like it's a new item for them as of June 2017.

No wonder I ordered from the states.

My cost was much cheaper. I get my toys delivered to a USA address only one hour drive away for me. Shipping to Canada is ridiculous. I clear customs myself.

Not sure why they would charge almost 400 Canadian dollars for it.

Mine cost 244 Canadian and 25 dollars for an additional angle iron.

I used left over Case International red paint and some leftover hunter green paint.

Bottom line do not limit yourself to Canada. Delivery was free.

Pays to shop around, funny how sometimes things bought in other countries are cheaper even shipped, even locally I have had this discussion and periodically I get the people will by my product sooner or later...
Wonder why businesses close etc....blame it on the government

While I can't argue with saving money, and for $265 that tree looks like a sweet deal, I prefer to support the Canadian economy.

Personal preference, but again that tree looks nice !

And RangeRabbit had their tree at the Calgary gun show, so I didn't know it was a "new" item.

Personally my primary concern is to spend my limited funds responsibly.
If the Canadian product were only slightly more , I could justify that to support local.
Buying the same product locally for nearly twice the price is not something I would ever be able to justify.

So who are you supporting when you buy a Canadian made product in the United states for cheaper than you can get it locally? Both countries, right? Example, I purchased a Hitch for my wife's Tahoe online, shipped from Minnesota to North Dakota in 3 days. Hitch was made in Canada, shipped down south, and since we live .5hr from the border and were crossing for the weekend, we brought it back to Canada for around $100 less. Same deal with a radiator for our car. The dealers in Canada are making some really good coin, but always have excuses why the parts are so much more here, even though they originate here.

Either the labor costs in Canada are way too high or there is not enough competition up here to drive the prices down where they should be.

We just pay far too much in Canada.

Steel is steel. They cut the AR500 with a special cutter so as to not heat it up. Probably lots of idle machines in Nisku for that.

Welders can be another story.

Maybe down in Texas they have the legal minimum wage Mexican support. We do as well now that visa requirements have been lifted.

Why the huge cost differential is beyond me. Mind has a better base and the extra front AR500 armor which looks like it's optional on the Canadian product.

There has got to be many welders looking for a job to get some cash flow.

If they could lower the profit margin and sell lots of units everyone can have one.

There are cheaper 4 inch paddles made of mild steel but if you want the AR 500 steel and six inch paddles you have to shop hard.

Swivel systems vary as well. Be careful on that one.
