Happy ... I'd still be cautious, I understand there was an incident today on Gull, waiting for confirmation, perhaps others here may know ?

Sledder went through, heavy RCMP presence on ice followed by Lacombe search and rescue and air ambulance from what I hear.

Anyone confirm?

Cheers,

Scott.

Link is dead I'm told so here is the text from the story.

"Snowmobile Mishap On Gull Lake

Published Day 11 Of December 2016
=============================
Information sent in from Penny Lou‎ tells RDN-News that.
At around 4:30pm.today Dec.11 she saw 2 Ambulances multiple police units circling on Gull Lake, as well as a helicopter she was told that was on the way.

After speaking with RCMP they told Penny they suspected a snowmobile went through the ice. The officer also indicated to her, that he had taken a core sample of the ice thickness out near where their vehicles were and the ice was about 13" at that spot.

Penny also said there were police officers and ambulances dispatched as well down one of the adjacent side roads along the lake.

STAR-3 Ambulance from Edmonton reported on twitter, they were dispatched at 4:40pm. for a search and rescue call in the Gull Lake Alberta area.

We will update you when we have more information.

Cheers,

Scott.

Every year there's always someone going in the drink somewhere. Stay safe guys not much worth sinking your vehicles for.
