Default Little smoky wading ok for kids?

I'm heading to the second bridge on the little smoky river tomorrow to try for some grayling and wanted to take my son in grade 5 but was worried about how deep the wading would be. Is it a good to take a child with waders there or will the wading be too dangerous? Thanks

It's been a few years since I've been there, but often times there is no need to even get in the water at the bridge. You can easily fish from the bank on both sides of the river and the grayling are often stacked thick and willing. Great place to take a beginner and unless you need a change of scenery you can usually fish that hole all day long. Good luck!
