Hardy reel
Finally got my 7'6" tfo professional series 3wt rod, now I have to put a line holder on it.
I was looking at the hardy DD and CC reels. I like the way they are constructed, even though they are a bit heavier.
I know one is a click check, the other is a disk drag, but other then that not too sure which one to get.
This is my creek and stream rod. I spend 90% of my time fishing these little creeks. I would like a reel that is tough and will hold up. Open to suggestions too for other brands.
Cheers,

That is a huge reel for that little rod. Take a look at Redington drift 2/3 wt. Of all the reels I have this is my favorite by far. All metal no plastic, unlike hardy CC (plastic parts inside).

both stunning reels, however even the smallest sizes would not balance that rod well.
do you like the look of them? or the large arbor? or the narrow spool?
for me it's all three... you can find some other pretty reels that'd balance that rod much better.
if you don't need a drag, take a peek at sage click,
greys streamlite (they're discontinued but they're fantastic creek reels and you can still find them),
glavan brookie
3-tand tf-20 or tf-40
or danielsson originals.
I'm looking for a reel for my 3wt greys right now, so I've pretty much done your research for you I know I'm looking for something about 3.2oz for my 6ft 3wt

I paired up my 6' 4wt with the smallest CC Hardy i could find, and it seems to balance nice. the only thing i don't really like is that the CC doesn't have a large range of drag; it's ok if you con't mind palming the reel. the shop i got it at didn't have the DD in stock to compare it against.

I love Hardy reels but I would go with an Islander.

Cabalas sells the LRH in Edmonton. It always has been a little sweetheart of a reel.
I also see they are making the Marquis again. Another absolute favourite of mine until the newer stuff started coming out.

This time last year was in the same position, looking for click/pawl reel for my 3wt rod. Sage Click was on my radar til I checked it out in person, plastic guts really turned me off, paying for the name imho.Decided on an Abel Creek 1 finally and was all set to order it in custom color to match my rod blank when I found a Hardy Marquis 4,priced too good to refuse,no brainer, snapped it up.
Anyhow, point being,Abel C1 is nice, far better quality then Sage Click imho at that price point, and there's always good deals to be found on forum classifieds,eBay,etc. if you are patient.

Don't think Islander make reels small enough for 2/3 wt.

Hardy Featherweight, the Flyweight is too small and too light.

Actually they do make a really nice reel for this, the IR3 and IR4,

I think the IR1's were the 2/3 match but they were discontinued a couple years ago. I bought a couple extra IR1's when they ceased production as they are very nice quality. IR2's are suggested for the 4/5 wt. lines and the IR3's are 5/6 wt. unless they changed there format.
A Canadian product to be proud of for sure!

Hardy reels are unfortunately now made off shore. My preference is to buy North American made but not every one can afford that level of quality.

Unless you live in England, Hardy reels have always been made "off shore".
I try not to limit myself to North American level of quality.

By "off shore" I mean Asia. They are no longer made in England!

I use this with a 2# Cabelas CGR, and it seems to balance nicely. I wonder if it might be a little light for a 3oz 7' rod? That said, I do like that reel for my purposes.

I noticed the other week that there are several Orvis Access reels at the Pincher Creek UFA, in case anyone is looking for one and is down that way. Didn't really take note of the sizes though.
Edit: I just noticed the OP's original post date... I'm sure (s)he has a reel by now
