Stay at Kimble lake. World class beach, store, power sights and Good walleye fishing. It's also close to tons of lakes. Lac de isles Keeps you at one end and it's mighty big for rec. Lac de isles has good walleye fishing. Prob the best in the park. At kimble you are 10 min from 1,2,3 mustus, Greig, mistohay, petihagan and rusty.

Meadow Lake prov park sees alot of visitors in the peak periods of summer. Kimble Lake campground is very nice but have never had much luck fishing the lake. Call and reserve as it gets very busy but with kids will be worth it - nice campground, good amenities and nice beach. The lakes near Kimble get fished pretty hard and are fairly hit and miss. However, if you want to target pike, Waterhen IMO is your best bet. It would be around a 30 minute drive from Kimble, but has a great population of healthy pike. From the boat launch, you would travel directly across to the main point where it drops off from 6 feet to 25 fow. Find the crowd and you will be on the drop. Fish the drop and you will catch.

If your kids want to catch a 100 little hammer handle pike and have some laughs - hit little Rusty. This on is just off the main road. Troll along the north shore closest to road - non stop action.

If you want the same type of action - for walleye - PM me. Hundreds of little ones in a not to well known spot on a different lake.

A half dozen of us forum guys go out there twice a year and virtually fished every lake in that park.

Waterhen is a great place to target big Pike and Walleye but the action can be hit or miss. It's also not a place for a small boat when the wind picks up.

Pierce is great for Lakers and Lapine Lake (attached to Pierce) is great for Pike.

Lots of amazing lakes and scenery out there. Lots of fish.
