Default What's a used A-Bolt Stainless Stalker worth?

I've got a rifle I haven't used in a long time and am looking to sell, not sure how much I should ask for it.

It's a left handed Browning A-Bolt II Stainless Stalker 30-06 that I bought new in 2000, has a Bushnell Elite 3x9 scope on it. What would be a fair price to ask for it?

Thanks
Randy

550-600 for the gun plus 150-200 for the scope
Great guns!

I sold my 300 Winmag for $800.00 back in 2000 .
It had 600 rounds down the barrel over 8 years of ownership.
Shot well and the second owner loved it.
Couldn't buy it back from him for more 💰.
Either guys like them or they don't, I did and shoulda bought another before venturing to Wby Vangaurds and now a Kimber Super America in .270 WSM

Thanks for the info, I'll probably ask in the $700. This one has the BOSS system (muzzle brake type thing) on the barrel, does that affect the value any?

For some people it increases the value, tor some it decreases the value.

Exactly, some will see it as a bonus and others will see it as a detriment.
Either way, value you for what it is worth and find something else you will like.

if you can find a used about stainless for 600, you'd better buy it. cause thats a heckuva deal. they're typically used on gunnutz for average 800 bucks for a blued one.

But yet if the price is right, the Boss thing can be removed and the threads cut off and muzzle re-crowned. Either way, at $600.00 one can't go wrong for a fine firearm.

Thanks again for all the info, that brings up another question, I see one of you mentioned gunnutz, what are the best sites to advertise it on, since kijiji won't accept ads for firearms?

This one, that one, and maybe Hunting B.C. Other than that, maybe put it in the Alberta Bargain Hunter paper.

Thanks... guess I need a few more posts before I can post it on here... so I might as well ask another question, what's the proper way of transferring ownership legally? I'm guessing I need need to make sure the buyer has a PAL but there also must be some forms to fill out or something? Knowing the government it's probably not simple or easy haha

No forms, just making sure he or she has a license to buy it.

There is no non restricted registry any longer. That will probably change again, pretty soon.
