Default Fall float trips - water levels

This is my first season owning a drift boat. How late in the year can you usually get down the bow safely?? Just wondering with water levels and all. Do any of you guys have some wisdom you could share? Thanks!!!

you can float until the ice prevents you from.
wisdom? don't float over waders waters and pick a line that doesn't interfere with other drifters

Thank you bigfry if you are close enough to a wader on shore to have a conversation you are too damn close. You have an entire river at your disposal Waders can only cover so much ground. Saty a good distance away. Koodos to you sir

Floated in February last year. Biggest concern is ice and open launches.

We did glenmore to police. Long float for that time of year with the limited light. We also had to drag boat over ice at police.

I would also recommend a PFD at all times.

Also we bring a stove as a warm meal is nice when you are outside that long at that time of year.
