It’s been like that for a few years now, me and my buddy managed to fill are tags in the summer on the first trip but I haven’t had an awesome walleye day out there in years. I caught one the other day out by the island the other day but the pike were bitting better.

Ya I filled one tag by the island the other day. I been out about 10 times since Christmas and caught about 1 per day (not class A size) . Even went out for the evening bite a few times and that was worst than fishing during the day . Never pulled one thru the hole. Pretty discouraging

Ya the rumors true, it has nothing to do with the tag system cause it was already going downhill before it was implemented . An old buddy of mine was telling me he netted it with his pal and I just rolled my eyes cause he was just doing it cause he can now. The first year the tags came out I must have went to the lake 6 times before I filled my A class. In 2011 the walleye fishing was of the hook literally and now I mostly might get luck at catch the random one at prime times .

Luck you! We were out Saturday ,really nice day and lots of people on the lake. I wonder why they decided to close the access at the provincial park. They should just block of the entrance to the parking lot if their all worked up about people unloading machines there .

I thought I was doing something wrong or the bulk of walleye moved away from the island . Just have to keep at it !
