Here's the responses we got.....
I would say huge! My friend got a female this year and I don't think it weighed much more than 25 pounds. That is the only one I've seen dead, so I'm no expert. I'm sure white17 or Takotna will chime in.

It sounds like they were guessing on the weight, so that could easily be out to lunch...same goes for bear/deer/fish weights....but the measurements should be fairly accurate.

Is the length measurement for the dried and stretched pelt, or for the carcass?
60-70lbs???? I do not even know if such a beast exists in the world!

OK here we go; I just measured the largest one I have ever caught. It measures 53" from nose to end of tail. It probably weighed just at or under 30 pounds. It is a large old male.
A medium female I just measured is 50" NTT. ... Probably 25 pounds.
A small male measures 48" NTT... probably 23 pounds.
The literature claims that these guys can be 25.6 to 41 inches head & body (65-105 cm) with a tail up to 10" (26cm).
If he thinks his weighs 60-70 pounds it must be a holdover from the Pliestocene. I would be stunned to find a wolverine over 40 pounds...anywhere, ever.
So there ya go with some actual numbers for comparison.
UPDATE: The skins above are dried. The skins below are tanned;
1 adult male @ 52 inches
1 adult female @ 49 inches
1 juvenile female @ 47 inches.
