I find it pretty disturbing that when some threads are shut down because they are repetative or from claiming that they are bashing other hunters....But, when threads that affect the reputation of ones business or even their integrity....regardless of its justified or not as I certainly would not condone illegal activity. But when it's brought up to a moderator...Kanonfodder...and does nothing about it but then claims it was missed....what a joker, I brought this to his attention when it was only on page 2 or 3...Not because I am defending but it's straight up not fair and those bashing an individual could actully face charges...just food for thought.

Kanonfodder,

Some people miss em some don't, I see more positives on this board in the last few years since the bullies and the so called in crowd have been weeded out or moved on

You get out what you put in
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

As a moderator and being in such a "prestigious postion", maybe a little more attention should be directed towards these negative type of threads rather than being concerned about repetative threads......news flash....topics will always be rehashed but targeting and idividual with specifics and names of individuals and businesses............ Figure it out..........with of all the threads on here probably 10% are actually usefull the rest are slander in one form or another. There are some really decent members here and those are the folks I look to and follow in regards to conversations. Not the guys who are trying to glorify their self when it comes to being an "outdoorsman/hunter" If this were to take place on other social media it would not be tolerated.

Dude.
You are not supposed to air pm's in the public forum.
It's in the rules.
Enjoy your staycation.

I can say without a doubt that the type of threads you speak of regarding some businesses do get shut down. Some have got ugly.

Why do you want it removed? Are you a friend or relative of Blakes?

Never even heard of him till this came up. I just think it should be taken down because it says a lot about the website and those who police it. Not to mention the magazine that accompanies the site, sponsors etc...... Just bad press.

I didn't think it was that complicated. I realize not everyone will agree but I would hope whomever has money into this would agree and appreciate it.

No kidding!!!
Do you think you have above average intelligence and need to spell chit out for some ppl.
Take a look around and you might see others pay attention

Your superior intellect won't go over well here. Try, just try to dumb it down for the rest of us hicks.
Bet you can't do it

If you can't see any good from leaving that thread for ppl to view then.....
Sorry, won't go there.
Try to see if you can find any positive spin from leaving that thread visible.

I learned a lot in that thread, I'm glad they didn't lock it right away.
And why would they have? No rules were broken in the thread, it always evolved, didn't get derailed...nothing. Heck, even the subject of the thread was in there educating everyone.
You not liking what was being discussed isn't a qualified reason to lock a thread or delete one.
Sorry, I'm with the mods on this one.

Just saying some anonymity should have been implied. THat's all, and that it continued for 11 pages and a mod claimes it was missed so clearly some rules were broken.

So why delete it? The subject gave away his identity, not the mods.
Eventually it had to be locked because it was getting ridiculous (just like this thread will be), but deleted? That's also ridiculous.

This thread is already ridiculous, that's why I started it....

Mods is short for moderator, their function is to moderate what is or isn't appropriate according to the rules. Delete because it's not fair to say or go on about when this is supposed to be a community. Yes there will be differences but some of the stuff written just isn't fair. If you found it
"educational" good for you.

No, it has more to do with the PM's I had with the Mod that finally closed the thread in question. He stated that it's unacceptable to bash people on here(which isn't what I was doing) so when I pointed this thread out ......and it continued, I found it to be a relatively serious inconsistency.

It's not fair!
Are you the member who used to be called the legend.
He would be about 16 now.
Sounds like something a 16 year old would say.

Life isn't fair.
Get over it. Move on.
Go away.

So you in turn bash a mod publicly. Class act. Think someone needs a little time to reflect. Our rules are very clear, take the time to read them. Just one little exert. btw your pm's had nothing to do with the mods closing the thread. We don't claim to be perfect and as other posters stated, there was no reason to close it, members didn't cross the line based on forum rules. It was closed at the end because it simply got stupid

The mods forgot about their job at hand. During that evening I checked 3 mods and their activity said " viewing big buck from spirit river". The thread got 16000 views in basically 5 hrs. That stuff doesn't get " missed ". And don't worry about getting tossed. If I wasn't doing my job to the expectation, I would hear about and have no grounds to be upset with the person who told me that. They have a job to do, so do it. I'm with you on this one man and I don't know the guy from a hole in the ground. It was the mods comment about his email choice which basically called him out as Blake Shmyr. That set things off. Get a few bigger names/site leaders making stabs and the rest will also follow. I thought it to be entertaining but def inappropriate. I've seen threads closed cause it's a one sided argument that's going no where. That thread about spirit was the same deal. My 0.02$. Great thread. Hope it doesn't get closed

Not sure why the mods didn't just cut to the chase and ban the guy.
He is obviously on a run and has no care for anything but his own self interest.

Dude... I see stuff that irritates me here every day.

I do not always agree with the mods.
Many people do not agree with me but... fairs fair and on the whole threads are cut, people are suspended and banned etc evenly.

I bruise people...they bruise me...the mods step in before there is blood on the floor and usually from a neutral position.

One thing that never ends well for a member is pettiness... especially directed at mods.

Choose your battles... make darn sure that you are right and do it with some semblance of grace....or lose any chance to be heard because you are in the box or at banned camp.

Your choice that you will have to live with down the road.
You have to be here to be heard and if you do not change your approach I suspect your contributions will be few.

I thought it was a great post and was shut down at thje appropriate time. Both the public and the business in question got a chance to present their sides of the story. Very few personal attacks. I thought the moderators treated it exactly as it should have been treated and it ran its course.

I think its hilarious that the OP , is upset at the mods for letting a thread continue and bringing bad publicity to the outfitter.

Then he starts this thread..and brings the original thread back into the spotlight...too funny.
