I have a 6wt rod and I'm looking to do some lake fishing for walleye and bulltrout. Mostly from a boat but will wade occasionally. I want to cast clouser and cone head patterns.
I picked up a scientific shooting taper 6wt deep 4 4-7ips. Do I back with a running line or monofilament?
Not sure if I am going in the right direction. Please help. Budget is in mind I picked up the shooting taper line for 18 dollars.
