Default Looking for a clip and a scope mounts for a Savage model 340 in a 22 hornet

I was wondering if any of you gun nuts on here would know where to find these parts for an old model 340? All I can find is from the states. Gun was passed down to me missing the clip and I’d like to throw a scope with 1” rings on it instead of the 3/4” tube 2 and 3/4 power red field that’s on it lol

Thanks

PR precision in Whitecourt was making excellent mounts for these rifles. Give him a try and see what he can do for you.

If you can't locate one here, Numrich ships to Canada and have the 22 magazine in stock. Also, magazines for the 840, 325 and 23D are interchangeable if you can find one of those. Also, did you try calling Western Gun parts or Rusty wood trading.

Numerich will ship to Canada, and then CBSA will hold your order indefinitely it seems like. I have a rear site for my BL22 that got to Toronto on Feb 27, and no indication of when, or if, I may get it. Because, gun parts scary apparently.

You'll need to wait wait at least another 2-3 weeks. My last order from them was about a month wait time at customs. Mine went through Montreal though so you may or may not have to wait longer...lol

I have had books and car parts held up for 3 weeks and more in customs , while having other stuff, including gun parts and knives, just sail through, so I wouldn't get overly fussed about their incompetence being restricted to gun parts.
