A fella brought one in to me 10 years back , broken the very same way. I took it to a buddy who fixed it up in a few minutes, TIG welding it .
A bit of file work and some vsrbecue paint and it has been in service since!

Good luck! I’m an 870 armorer for my agency and we haven’t been able to find any replacement parts for Remington since they went belly up. A lot of used for sale on places like gunbroker or eBay. There is a new style and old style. I wouldn’t be opposed to giving welding a try. The big thing is making sure it’s the same length as the timing cuts on each leg activate the left or right shell catch at the right time.
