Cool 2019 Silverado-Re Design

Getting pretty excited to see and drive the newly designed Silverado. Has anyone seen them in Alberta yet?

Been shopping for a 2018 and the 2019s that I've seen advertised look just like the 18s. Wonder if they're still just pushing out inventory from their old production lines under the new model year. I like the new rounded wheel wells but have my doubts about other parts of the new design.

The new design looks interesting.
But GM missed the boat again in the powertrain department.
You can only get the 10 speed with the 6.2 L engine.
Granted they have a new turbo 4 cylinder and a diesel coming but I don't have much use for those.

Thumbs down

I have watched more than a few video reviews of the 2019 Silverado. In my opinion; the interior is not as updated as it could be, and, the exterior seems too "busy". Over-styled at the front and rear with weird angles and add-on pieces (IE ..goofy exhaust tips, etc).

I am due for a new truck, but, will likely buy a 2019 Silverado crew or double on the lower end, which, hopefully is stripped of some of the tacky-ness.

I don't mind the looks of it at all.

Looks like they are trying to make it look like a Tundra, and I like the Tundra.

Looks like a Honda Ridgeline.

I decided to order a 2019 F350 before they change something. Ford seems to building a reliable diesel now. Still suffering from sticker shock though.

Just saw them online, The tailgate and the lines on the front fenders look horrible! Inside looked quite plush and they finally fixed the wheel wells and made them round as opposed to U shaped.

i've seen several of the new dodges out there. They look more like the Nissan trucks IMO. Their interiors were pretty plush as well. Will be interesting to see who takes it next year between the Chev and Dodge as they have both been redesigned.

me, I'll keep my new F150...lol

Good to see they kept the designer of the Aztec around!
How in the lords name did that make it to production?
I think it’s got the titan beat for ugly!

Not sure what's going on over at the General.

Some of the renderings for the new Camaro were just hideous but looks like they only refreshed the rear end and left the front end relatively alone. And with the Dodge Demon pushing over 900HP and the new Stang is expected to be mid 700's the General will be well behind in the HP wars. Seems they are putting all their efforts into the new mid engine Vette. (Which will be a BEAST of a car)

Their trucks are looking more and more like the F-150 and the Ram.

Not a big fan of any of the big 3's truck offerings for '19

The 2019 chevy:

Trying to look modern & getting it wrong.
Awful confused mix of Tundra & F150.

Ok, so back to the original question, has anyone seen or driven one in Alberta. Feedback I am getting Stateside is that the truck looks a lot better in person and that it's nice!!!!
I do like the Trail Boss version, comes with the lift/leveling kit and upgraded tires. Looks like a great truck!!!!
Anyone seen one here in Alberta?

It’s hard for me to admit but as far as 2019’s go, the ram is hard to beat!

Looks like they finally tucked the frame and other junk up flush with the rocker panels. Should have decent ground clearance now.

The dodge LOOKS great, but I kinda like an engine and tranny to last more than 2 years

IMO they all look ugly.

The new ford is ugly, the front is more round and the DRL on the headlights looks like something from a cheap pair of aftermarket. The previous gen was a good design, it had nice crisp lines.

The ram is okay but looks like a Durango with a box. Interior is super nice but it'll always be a ram.

I'm looking forward to the new Sierra, IMO it's the one that looks more so like a truck than the others, but that's just me.

This truck is ugly. I liked the design they just had. This one looks like a tundra had sex with a Ford and then dropped the baby down a hill.

I’m a GM/Chevy guy but I can’t get behind and support that. Good grief. That’s gross. I’ll be happily keeping my ‘10 and ‘14 whilst searching for a jewel of a ‘96-‘98.
