Default Just Another Big Fish Weekend on the Water Pic Heavey* And Video

Headed out to the frigid waters on friday with Beedhead and BigGameHunter.
Day one was a mess with only small cutts. After a day of bellyboating and hiking Jake missed a very nice cut/bow all we could see was the huge jumps and the bend in the rod. I landed the first one of the day then jeremie caught another 2 and I caught one at the end of the day but all small with nothing of size.

Day two was unreal...The smallest fish was around 15-16" and was very productive till around noon then picked up again around dusk with the bulls and suckers being caught. 2 Bulls in a row and 2 suckers in a row.
Jake knocked off another species and they both got an ugly sucker. We all got some nice cutts and watched the cutts try and spawn but the cruisers definitely kept us waiting there. I had a long fight with a big bully on 5x and went well into my backing going straight for the depths. Jeremie on the net and Jake on the cam it worked out awesome with some good pics!

Day three was another let down with only small cutts being caught by Jeremie and Jake and I got skunked. We hit the bow afterwards and the water was high and green with the goldens hatching today and yesterday. Spotted one rise tight to the grass but that was about it.

All in all a decent trip but it wouldnt have been better if the rainbow was landed...Here is some pics

Enjoy

That "bandana" thing is actually called a buff.
It keeps out the UV Rays and When you make it Damp it can keep you cool for hours.

If you guys checked out my other thread i didn't erase my face

Nice fish and looks like an awesome place. By the way you should get a new camera. Yours seems to put a big white spot in your face in a couple of the pics.

I 'get' the bandana. I use one often when hiking, hunting or fishing. Very good idea. Cools you off when damp and keeps a guy from inhaling clouds of no seeums and if you happen to look like Allison Redford it allows you to sneak up on the fish without startling them.

I just don't understand hiding ones id when they post pics. I also don't get 'not grinnin' in the pics with awesome fish. I'd think a person would be happy but a lot of pics they don't look happy.

Anyway , it looks like you had a great time catching some beauties. Good on ya!

Yeah all in all it was a great trip hooking into that 20inch+ rainbow that snapped me off on 4x. The big cutts were fun and sure aggressive fighters. And boy do those bulls have power! Even the 16 incheers! Guess I knocked off 3 species from the list to catch (cutts, bulls and suckers) Dustin (the guy with the face blanked out) was actually smiling in all those pics haha. We all had a blast. We happened to run into an old friend that was guiding out there, we even caught a couple of bait fishers and waited for fish&game to show up! Can't wait to go out and do this again next weekend as we will be hitting up some pristine rivers!

We busted 4 poachers for barbs, Charges are pending for the bait and there tackle was taken away.
There was zero service so we had to drive to the nearest pay phone...now we are just waiting for the followback.

good job boys. sorry again about the timing. i wasn't far, just a few thousand meters higher and to the east. no real colored up fish eh? next time. keep up the fine work. you're a trio of hardcore young bug slingers that work hard to achieve what you do. faceless or not.
