Default High Altitude Cuttys & Some Bugs

we visited one of our favorite early season waters again today. we were delighted to see some decent bug activity this morning and even more excited to find out the fish were looking up for them. first real good "cutty on the dry day" and there were some beautiful colored fish landed.

Beautiful fish, Dace...good to see that there's some action happening somewhere. The Bow still looks like chocolate milk.

Y'know, I used to like you, Dace...
Now, I'm not so sure. Pretty dang mean of you to post these fantastic pics of gorgeous trout caught on a day that I couldn't make the trip!!! Don't get me wrong- I do enjoy hanging out with my wife's family, but it does look like you had a slightly more enjoyable day, brother!
Lots of excellent pics of quality fish, my friend. I think the last one (with the mountains in the background) may be my favorite.
Well played, sir; well played...

It's a Cannon and it's red. That's all I know. I use it alot when I fish/help land fish with him. Along with his net. He only uses it to take pics of bugs when his arm gets sore from fighting fish and I'm too tired from chasing his fish up and down the shoreline with the net.

But it was nice of him to reverse roles with me on one yesterday. Thanks bud for a great day.

HINT: (to land fish easier)...

Never wear your vest with your net on it when your buddy is 100+ feet away. That way by the time the fish takes you downstream and he catches up with the net, the fish is ready to land. Then you can hook into another one before buddy gets back to his rod.... Repeat.

Awesome fish, wicked photos,

Wish I knew what you know, love to land some fish like that.
They don't build them like that in Nova Scotia lol.

Spectacular photos on the fish heads and the bugs. One couldn't ask for a better day than yours.

Great pics. That last one with the reflection of the fish and the mountains in the background is one that you should blow up and put in a frame. Gorgeous pic.

thanks for all the comments on the photos boys. working with fish so full of color in a background that in my opinion is one of the nicest places on this earth, does make for some pretty sweet images. the last picture with the mountains in behind along with many of the others was taken upside down and without looking at the screen. i find it easier to hold the camera that way with one hand and not drop it in the water. take a couple shots and hope for the best. sometimes you get a good one.

shawn, the camera is an older point and shoot Canon Power Shot 780 IS. maybe 3 or 4 years old. it's treated me well and has always taken nice photos. i got it pretty wet early season on the bow while landing a brown and thought for sure i had my excuse to upgrade to an underwater camera of some sort. no dice. it dried out and continues to take good pics. and yes when tackle gets the chance, with some guidance he can run both the net and the camera. still not quite as good as JR though.
