Default Shepard Scopes

Howdy,

I was just doing some research on scopes and came across a brand called Shepard. They had some neat features such as one shot sighting in, dual retics and built in range estimating features using circles that are either 18" for deer or 24" for elk or 6" for gophers and coyotes. Has anyone ever used these?

Thanks in advance

I have seen video where where they shot the deer at 1022 yards with this scope and on other site, I have read reviews that people have success at 700 yards. And I think even a Cabelas forum, people have shot upto 700 yards and they are very happy with it.

We have at least one more member here who uses it and really like it. I am sure he will repond here. After reading the reviews and talking to the member here, I bought one and didn't get a chance to use it yet. I will be going out soon to try it. I will put my finding here in few days.

Well I'm the other member and at this time I am very happy with the scope the one shot zero works like it says and I may have lucked out but may second hand load of 168 gr TSX bullets in my 300 WSM seem to track true to the circles out to 800 I have yet to reach past this but it still has 900 and 1000 to go. I admit its wierd and a little busy at 18 power but it works like they say. I am getting a 3.5 to 10 for a second plan on moving my 6 18 V1a to the 25-06 I will put the new one on the 300 in short at this time I like it enough that if shekaree doesn't there's a buyer for it.
