Default Kananaskis lake

Have been to upper a couple times around Xmas and things were a bit slow. Going to go again and was wondering how much snow is on the lakes now?

I was out family day to lower lake. I was the only group on the interlakes side. We fished 11-4 and got skunked. Marked a couple fish on flasher and got them to move up with tube jig but couldn't get them on. However, it was a beautiful winter safari day....there is a foot of snow on the lake that isn't too much trouble to walk on. No need for snowshoes unless you want to have some fun. Couple of the holes we drilled the floodwater was bad, others just ok for a tent to stay overtop.

I've heard mixed reviews on the month of Feb...some say they don't ice fish kananaskis lakes after new years, some wait until Feb to start fishing.????
