Default Double Header with Dad

Hunter hosting my Dad for some whities, put aside any thoughts of trophy hunting for this fall. After a couple of slower days of hunting we headed out West at my buddy’s little 3 quarters of WT paradise.

When one buck showed up Dad steadied crosshairs at 250yds. We gave him time to expire, and in that half hour along walked another 4 point. Call em management bucks but given the situation memories for a lifetime.

Since the age of 4 I have been chasing him around with my trouting pole, then later 20 gauge. Rifle.

To enjoy the beautiful Ab country with Dad and shoot two deer and have them expire 15 feet apart is one to remember. Memories, friends and a few celebratory sips is why I do it.

Good luck everyone in 2019. Get Dad out. Get your sons/daughters out. Best of luck.

Great job! Time spent with Dad is time well spent. I’m putting my dad in a blind with my 6 year old son tonight. They’re both excited and it should be interesting to see what happens tonight. It’s their first hunt together.

Nicely done and memories for sure.

Never been out with a family member, just no interest, I found my own way in to shooting with no help. I will hopefully get my children interested, in time.

Way to go. I don't know about the management buck part though. Dang nice deer in my book.

You look like you could have thrown one over each shoulder and hauled em out whole! If I ever need muscle in the Red Deer area, I know who I am sending a pm to. LOL.

Lost for words, what a dream season. Son just shot his first buck with his Grampa. Myself and the other son couldnt get a shot tonight, nearly a second double header. What a first buck.

Many a big game hunt with my Dad, now it's my turn with my son. Grandson is 4, won't be too long now. Congrats to the successful hunters, all of you!

For the food guys. Take back straps, splash of lime juice, white wine, garlic powder Worcestershire, soya, splash olive oil, salt/pepper. Marinade in fridge overnight.
Set on counter for two hours. Room temp.

To cook I crank gas bbq to 500, spray oil,1 min on each side. Hot sear.

Then toss on Traeger on 200F until 145F attained. Every time u flip brush with garlic and montreal steak spice infuse butter.

OH My!!!!!!
