2020 was the first year in 20+ that I didn't get out and hunt big game. Even when I lived overseas, I found a way. So I gotta say nanda.

Thanks! When I had Bill build it I figured it would be the last truly custom rifle I would own .
My latest rifle is a no.1 in 280 but it is simply Sendaro taper 26"
Barrel with a tail instead of the quarter rob Everything else is factory
I have no desire to build another , that 303 is it!

Last year on my moose hunt, I used my Remington 700 .300 SAUM with reloaded 180 gr Nosler Accubonds. Scope is a Leupold vx3i 3.5-10x40 CDS ZL. I haven’t used the free dial yet but I have dope out to 500 yards for the existing mos dial. Last year I did shoot my first bull moose.

When I hunt deer I use my Remington 7600 .243 and hand loaded 100 gr Nosler Partitions. Scope on that is a Leupold freedom 1.5-4x 20. I did go out and hunt deer, I missed a buck.

Last Rifle I hunted with was my late father's Remington 7400 in .270 win. shot a doe with it in November using Winchester 130 grain. It was the only animal that I personally shot using my dad's rifle. Later that week I gifted it to his grandson ( my nephew) who never had a decent gun. Told him
that his grandad would want him to have it and to carry it with his grandad in mind and never sell the gun. I know it went into good hands as he was basically raised by my mother and father and was extremely close to the both of them. He's turned out to be a fine young man. Went to post secondary and now is proudly serving as a military police in the CDN armed forces.

Me - Winchester Model 70 in .270 for deer / bear.
- Winchester SX4 for waterfowl etc..
- Howa Model 15 in 22.250 for coyotes
I've got a pile more guns than I need, but not as many as I want...

Same rig here, but have been running 165 A-bonds at 0.5 MOA or better. That said, there’s not much this rifle doesn’t like.

Last two years has been my browning x bolt micro composite in 6.5cm. Vortex diamondback hp 4-16x42 scope. It likes my hand loads with Hornady 143 eld x bullets. Currently working on a load for Nosler 120 e tips.

Before the Browning my Savage 10 FCM scout in 308 was my main go to, it’s put a lot of critters down. Vortex crossfire ii 2-7 scout scope. It likes 150 sst hand loads, 2880fps from the 20” barrel. I mostly use it for hiking nowadays.

This year will likely be my BLR stainless takedown in 6.5cm, I hope it’ll sling 120 e tips accurately. May scope it with a redfield revolution 3-9x40 I have laying around, may just run it with the irons.

I knew that was coming. It’s one of those special rifles that fire with the bolt open.

Cooper model 52 Timberline, .300 Win Mag, c/w Leupold vx6hd 3-18x44.

Really like this rig. Not too heavy, not too light.

I have two rigs that follow me on a hunt. My mainstay is a Sako 85 Finnlight in 270wsm, topped with a Swarovski Z3, 3-10X42 (BRX). Nice tight groups with 140 Accubonds. The backup rifle is a Sako 85 Bavarian Carbine topped with a Swarovski Z3, 3-9X36 (#4) that overlaps 190 Accubonds. Sometimes it is hard to choose which to carry.

Default What big game rifle did you hunt with recently?

Cool thread fellas.

Sako 85 Finnlite with a KS 6.5CM 24 inch tube.

Optilocks and Z5 3-18x44 scope. 143 gr ELDX handloads at 2780 fps, as I recall.

It has fired 5 shots at big game. 3 mule bucks and one ram down. The fifth shot was an oopsy.
