hello . tried this in the general section and no luck so i will try here. It appears that my tuned exhaust pipe has rusted thru and am trying to extract it from the chassis. on one side is the radiator that rests on the pipe and on the otherside is the air box. both are preventing the pipe from coming out the front. was wandering if anybody has any advise. thanks 600 sdi engine
I have never worked on an SDI engine, but I'm guessing you have to peel out airbox and other stuff to get it out. Another possible solution would be to weld it up in place with a mug welder using a piece is steel barrel or pail material, or use that material with some exhaust glue and hose clamps.
I agree . Furthermore I think it was holding salt laden moisture!
Do you trailer it without a tarp? If so on those days the air filter intake housing/vents catches all the road slop and then that works its way through the engine through the air box. Can be fatal to the engine if done lots.

its amazing how much damage road grime will do to a sled. Even with a sled in the bed of your truck you still end up with crap everywhere. Covers are well worth it especially with how much these things cost!
